To take on this extreme challenge, Suzuki developed the V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special—a purpose-built machine equipped with a mid-mounted twin-turbo 2.5-liter V-6 engine producing 981.3 HP. With its lightweight construction and advanced aerodynamics, Nobuhiro Tajima piloted the car to overall victory, becoming the first Japanese driver to win the prestigious event in 1995.
