About
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is the world’s most renowned hill climb race, covering a demanding 12.4 miles course with an elevation gain of 4721.1 ft. To take on this extreme challenge, Suzuki developed the V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special—a purpose-built machine equipped with a mid-mounted twin-turbo 2.5-liter V-6 engine producing 981.3 HP. With its lightweight construction and advanced aerodynamics, Nobuhiro Tajima piloted the car to overall victory, becoming the first Japanese driver to win the prestigious event in 1995.
