About
The Jaguar D-Type was a racing sports car introduced in 1954 as the successor to the C-Type, with just 64 units produced in total. It's built on a tubular frame with monocoque construction. Its sleek bodywork, penned by Malcolm Sayer, was instantly recognizable by the aerodynamic fin positioned behind the driver’s seat. It made its debut at the 1954 24 Hours of Le Mans and went on to dominate the event, securing victory three years in a row through 1957.
