About
The car followed the success of the previous ST185 model, which had secured both the manufacturers' and drivers' titles in the 1993 WRC. The ST205 entered the 1994 season aiming for another championship. However, during Round 7 in Catalonia, the car was disqualified for an engine regulation violation, and all championship points were revoked. In response, Toyota withdrew from the WRC, bringing the ST205’s competition career to an abrupt end after just one season. Despite its brief time on the stage, the ST205’s bold, rally-bred appearance won it a lasting place in the hearts of enthusiasts.
