About
Based on the E89-generation Z4, BMW’s GT3 race machine began competition in 2010. Weight was reduced by 661 lbs through extensive modifications, including the replacement of the retractable roof with a fixed panel. The engine was also changed to a 4.0-liter V-8. In 2011, the car was further refined with wider fenders and a larger 4.4-liter engine producing 507.9 HP.
