About
The third-generation Viper made its debut in 2012. A key highlight of this new model was that it was released under SRT, Chrysler’s high-performance brand. Although the V-10 engine retained its 8.4-liter displacement, numerous internal upgrades boosted output to 640 HP and 600.3 ft-lb of torque. As with previous generations, the chassis featured a steel tube frame, though torsional rigidity was improved by 50 percent. At the top of the range, the GTS offered an active suspension system.
