About

Introduced in 2011, this marked the final special edition of the Mazda RX-8. Built on the 6-speed manual Type RS—equipped with Bilstein dampers—and the 6-speed automatic Type E—offering upscale touches like leather seating—both variants received exclusive interior and exterior enhancements. Initially planned as a 1,000-unit production, strong demand following the announcement of the RX-8’s discontinuation in 2012 prompted Mazda to double the run with an additional 1,000 units.
