About

This was a 2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) machine. In line with the series’ engine downsizing rules, the previous 4.0-liter V-8 was replaced with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4. Remarkably, the new engine produced more power than its predecessor, while also weighing less, with improved weight distribution. In the 2019 season, Audi’s ace driver René Rast captured the championship title, alongside securing the team championship.
