About

This was the hot hatch version of the new MINI developed after BMW’s takeover. Its 1.6-liter inline-4 was supercharged to produce 167.7 HP and 159.1 ft-lb of torque, an increase of 53.3 HP and 50.6 ft-lb over the base Cooper. Paired with an exclusive 6-speed manual transmission, the car delivered pure driving fun in a compact, spirited package.
