The Renault Sport Mégane Trophy was developed specifically for the Mégane Trophy race series, which began in 2005. While retaining the overall silhouette of the production Mégane, the Trophy version featured far more aggressive styling and a mid-mounted 355 HP 3.5-liter V-6 in a lightweight 2194 lbs package. A 6-speed two-pedal manual transmission with paddle shifters delivered quick, precise gear changes. The suspension and brakes were full racing spec.
