This marked Maserati’s first mid-engine sports car in 15 years, following the MC12. Designed with Dallara, the streamlined body was engineered to generate significant downforce without relying heavily on external aerodynamic elements. At its core was a lightweight carbon monocoque chassis weighing less than 220 lbs, paired with a newly developed twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine, featuring F1–inspired pre-chamber combustion.
