About
This machine was created by Mazda Spirit Racing, an initiative launched in 2021 to embody Mazda’s motorsport ambitions. Although derived from the ND Roadster, it has a 2.0-liter block not typically offered on Japanese soft-top models, distinguished by specially developed camshafts, a bespoke cylinder head, forged pistons, and a custom exhaust manifold. This delivers an output of 197.2 HP, a figure that stands near the upper limit of what remains practical in a production car. Additional refinements were made throughout the chassis, drawing upon the wealth of expertise Mazda had accumulated through years of Super Endurance racing.
