About
The third-generation M3 was introduced with the E46 3 Series. Its 3.2-liter S54 Inline-6 delivered more than 98.6 HP per liter, peaking at 338.3 HP at 7900 rpm. In 2003, the high-performance CSL variant was launched. It featured a carbon-fiber roof to reduce weight and a retuned engine pushing output to 355 HP. This model went on to achieve significant success in touring car racing and various other motorsport events.
