About
This car introduced the concept of the Type R, a road-going race car. At its heart was the 1.8-liter VTEC B18C engine, hand-built with a high-compression head and carefully matched connecting rods to produce 197.2 HP. While performance parts like the helical LSD added weight, it was offset by stripping out comfort features, resulting in pure speed.
