About
The first facelift of the GD-generation Impreza was marked by its distinctive teardrop-shaped “blob eye” headlights. Engine efficiency was improved with the adoption of equal-length, matched exhaust headers. Also, some manual variants featured a Driver's Control Center Differential with an automatic mode. A minor update in 2004 brought larger tires and boosted torque output to 303.8 ft-lb.
