About
The Civic is Honda’s longest-running model line. The fifth-generation EG Civic, introduced in September 1991, was promoted as the “sports Civic.” At the top of the range sat the SiR grade, equipped with a 1.6-liter DOHC VTEC engine. Building on the success of the previous SiR, which had already achieved the benchmark of 100 horsepower per liter, this model delivered an additional 9.9 HP, bringing total output to 167.7 HP.
