In 2013, Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi partnered with Schulze Motorsport to take on the Nürburgring 24 Hours. The GT-R GT3 was specially prepared for the race, with support from Polyphony Digital’s technical team. Data gathered from the car’s performance was later used to enhance the realism of Gran Turismo’s simulation engine.
