About
The 1968 Corvette Stingray drew its design inspiration from the Mako Shark II concept, which reimagined the Corvette as a sleek grand tourer. In 1969, the base engine displacement was increased from 327 to 350 cubic inches, although output remained at 295.9 HP. The following year, Chevrolet introduced the LT1 engine, producing 364.9 HP. This version earned praise for being the best handling C3 Corvette.
