About
The third-generation Corvette made its debut in the fall of 1967. Heavily inspired by Chevrolet’s 1965 show car, the Mako Shark II, it introduced a bold new coupe design, characterized by its curvaceous “coke bottle” silhouette, which instantly turned heads. Initially launched simply as the Corvette, the model brought back the Stingray name in 1969, along with a larger engine that added greater versatility and performance.
