To meet the 100-unit production homologation requirement, the car employed a ladder-frame chassis paired with a lightweight fiberglass body. It delivered strong performance and achieved numerous victories, beginning with the Targa Florio, ultimately becoming the foundation of Porsche’s GT racing efforts throughout the 1960s.
