The TTS was the high-performance variant of the TT series, introduced in 2008. Its powertrain featured a 2.0-liter direct-injection turbocharged engine paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed S-Tronic transmission. The engine block, pistons, and connecting rods were uniquely developed for the TTS, and the turbocharger was upgraded to handle the increased output. Power was delivered through Audi’s proprietary full-time 4-wheel-drive system, enabling a zero-62.1 mph acceleration time of 5.2 seconds with the S-Tronic model, and 5.4 seconds with the manual.
