The Vantage proved to be a success as a performance-focused, rear-wheel-drive sports car. The model introduced in 2017 shared much of its construction with the DB11 V8, but featured a shorter wheelbase and was approximately 265 lbs lighter. These changes earned it widespread acclaim, with many praising it as the best-handling Aston Martin to date. The engine was a Mercedes-AMG–derived twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8, capable of reaching a top speed of 195.1 mph (195 mph).
