About
Introduced in 1975, the 911 Turbo was the first production Porsche to wear the now-iconic "Turbo" badge. True to its name, the car’s 3.0L air-cooled flat-6 engine was equipped with a KKK turbocharger, producing 256.4 HP. This setup enabled the car to cruise at speeds of up to 155.3 mph—a remarkable feat for its era. Beginning in 1977, the engine’s displacement was increased to 3.3 liters and paired with an air-to-air intercooler, which further boosted performance.
