About
The 996-generation Porsche 911, introduced in 1997, was the first to feature a GT3 variant. Using the rigid Carrera 4 chassis as a foundation, it incorporated race-grade upgrades to the suspension and brakes, while the engine took on a GT1-spec crankcase for high-rev performance. A total of 1,889 units were produced.
