The original 8C took its name from the 8-cylinder engine designed by the legendary Vittorio Jano. Beneath its timeless bodywork lay a 4.7-liter V-8, tuned by Alfa Romeo to deliver 443.8 HP. With a top speed of 180.2 mph and a 0–62.1 mph sprint time of under 4.2 seconds, it rivaled—and in some cases surpassed—contemporary supercars. Limited to just 500 units worldwide, the car sold out almost immediately upon its release.
