About
The 2000 All Japan Grand Touring Championship (JGTC) GT500 class saw fierce competition among Japan’s top three automakers: Honda, Toyota, and Nissan. That year, five teams fielded the NSX. They included the Castrol MUGEN NSX and Takata Dome NSX, running as official factory entries. While the Takata Dome NSX demonstrated remarkable potential, it was the Castrol MUGEN NSX, featured here, that claimed the championship. Its success came through strategic management of the weight handicaps, showcasing speed and discipline over the course of the season.
